CSA Sign Ups for 2026

are OPEN

for summer & fall!

Planning and planting for each year starts well before most think. Garlic went in before Halloween, potatoes are ordered well in advance, compost needs to be ordered, seeds for cover crops are purchased and sowed in the fall or growing areas are tarped, fall produce is started before the spring CSA is over, and so much more. We expanded our growing area to offer room for more "staple" produce items in addition to more variety. The CSA schedule for 2026 changed from previous years to offer more flexibility for our members throughout the season.

Please read through ALL of our CSA information

before inquiring about sign up.

1. What is a CSA and is it right for you?:

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This is where members of the community buy shares of a farm’s harvest in advance to help share in the cost of production and lessen the need for marketing. This gives the farmer time to worry about what’s really important - taking care of the land and growing high quality produce for their members. We offer a traditional CSA model which is typically not customizable; produce varies week to week dependent upon what's ready in the garden. Some weeks won't have any options, some weeks will. It can be a fun culinary challenge; however, if you're not up for a little challenge, this may not be the best option for you.

2. Timing:

These are target dates and are subject to change pending on weather. Advance notice will be given for any changes.

3. Pricing:

Members choose between a full or half share. Full share is $40/week and will accommodate a household of 4+. Half share is $25/week and is more suited for a 1-2 person household. Members will receive a total of 8 weeks of produce for spring, 8 weeks for summer, and 10 weeks for fall. *Weekly shares come in a reusable produce box. We provide 2 boxes per member, per season. Please leave your box on your porch each week for us to pickup at delivery. The need for any additional boxes will be $4.*

4. Payments:

Payment for each season is due in full at the time of signup; you can sign up for one at a time or all three at once. Payment completes the sign up for each season and can be made via cash, check, or Venmo. Checks can be made out to Pine Dell Farmstead. Venmo is offered as a convenience; there is a fee with certain transactions, contact us for info. Signup is not complete until payment has been received.

SPRING - Full Share: $320 / Half Share: $200 THIS SEASON IS SOLD OUT

SUMMER - Full Share: $320 / Half Share: $200

FALL - Full Share: $400 / Half Share: $250

5. Deliveries:

No more farm pickup for 2026 - switched to DELIVERY ONLY. Delivery is included and may continue to be Sunday afternoons; but, will likely switch to Saturday afternoons. The service area shrunk to some of JCC-Williamsburg area. Contact us to see if you're in our delivery area. If you'll be out of town one week and don't have an alternate delivery address in our service area, your share can be donated to a family in need; we do not sub/refund for missed weeks.

6. What's in your weekly share?:

Image

We try to make sure each week includes 5-7 units of various items made or grown right here on our farm*. An email will go out each week letting you know what’s in your box along with some recipes and ideas for what to do with each item and tips for storage. We take pride in our growing practices - while we're not certified organic, we use only organic growing practices. This means, even though we try our best during wash/pack to make sure there's not, a small amount of the produce you'll receive may have a "friend" included with it.

Produce will vary by season; some things you can expect -

For SPRING - potatoes, onions, carrots, salad mix, head lettuce, spinach, micro greens, arugula, baby kale, radishes, turnips, beets, cucumbers, green beans, garlic scapes, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, and some early summer crops

For SUMMER - tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, potatoes, carrots, summer squashes, beets, lettuce mix, head lettuce, green beans, garlic, onions, celery, swiss chard, sweet corn, blackberries, eggplant, okra, sweet potato greens

For FALL - lots of different winter squashes, garlic, onions, sweet potatoes, collards, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, cabbage, spinach, head lettuce, kohlrabi, bok choy, green beans, salad mix, carrots, beets, radishes, turnips, rutabaga, parsnips, potatoes, okra, peppers, cucumbers, celery, and the tail end of some tomatoes from summer

*There are occasions where we may have a crop failure. In a traditional CSA, this would fall under the SHARED RISK factor and there would simply be less units that week. However, we usually 'eat' the loss if we can and may source an item or two. In the event that we source, we make sure we know and trust that our source's growing practices align with ours.

7. Add-Ons:

Members will be able to add items to each share on a weekly basis, likely through the order form we used last year. These items may include, but aren't limited to, cut flowers, honey, eggs, baked goods made with organic fresh milled flour, and possibly some canned goods such as jams, jellies, & pickles.

If you'd like to know where you food is coming from and how it's grown, shoot us a text or email with your delivery address - once we confirm the address is in our delivery area we can get you signed up!

Baked Goods

All of our baked goods are made with organic fresh milled flour milled day of making the dough and we use as many organic ingredients as we can. We mainly offer cookies and quick breads; but, are open to suggestions and do take the occasional custom order with advanced notice.

Why fresh milled? Fresh milled flour has 40 of the 44 essential nutrients that our bodies need daily because it retains the bran and germ which help with nutrient intake and digestion. This also means it's not "enriched" with synthetic "nutrients".

*These are made and packed in our home kitchen in accordance with cottage food laws.

Because they're made with fresh milled flour, consume or freeze within 3 days.

Farm Fresh Eggs

Our free range hens are fed local, non-GMO feed. Eggs are not for sale during this time as we do not offer supplemental light through the winter and the daylight hours are short.

*These have been washed and refrigerated; keep refrigerated below 45°

 - About Us -

We are Josh & Lauren Jones and our family goes back many generations here in Williamsburg. We homeschool our 4 young children and both work off farm. We’ve had chickens and small gardens all throughout our 16 years of marriage, but always had bigger dreams. While we’ve always wanted to farm, the real push came from wanting a healthier alternative to what we could find in the grocery store. When we started asking questions at local farmers markets, we quickly realized that not many of them grow their own produce, so they didn’t have answers to a lot of the questions we were asking. That’s when we realized we needed to take the plunge sooner, rather than later. So back in 2020, shortly before the shutdown, we finally took the leap - we ordered our first meat chickens and started fencing in our front yard for what would become Pine Dell Farmstead. We started slow, mainly just growing for our family; but, we knew we needed to make it possible for others in our community to know their farmer and know where their food was coming from. In 2022 we got bees and started selling our honey and produce through various avenues. In 2023 we ran our first CSA and for our current busy life schedule, we decided this is the best market for us, for now; but, we're always looking for new market avenues. We've added a lot more laying hens and bee colonies and we’re growing bigger every year! We take pride in our growing practices (although we are not certified organic, we don't use any sprays or fertilizers that are not certified organic) and we love the fact that we can walk out to the garden and eat something right off the plant without worrying about harmful chemicals!
